HomeAid Presentations

Looking for a company-wide philanthropic effort? Look no further! HomeAid Utah has created a way for local businesses to get involved in the community at any budget level. Here’s how it works:

The HomeAid Utah team will come to your office prepared with a presentation and an actionable philanthropic effort. The presentation will share about who we are, what we do, and how you are helping us fulfill our mission. As a group, we then take part in the activity portion of the event where we work together to complete a philanthropic effort. This philanthropic effort could be selecting and donating relevant items together using our Virtual Giving Machine, sharing stories about the diaper need in our community, or compiling care kits to distribute to those experiencing homelessness.

This is a wonderful team-building opportunity to help those in need in our community and to share your priorities with your colleagues. Make a difference today! Fill out the inquiry sheet linked below and email the completed form to request a presentation date.

Please contact Don or Isabelle if you have any additional questions: dadamson@homeaid.org and iashcraft@homeaid.org.

As a part of our community engagement efforts, HomeAid developed a Virtual Giving Machine (VGM) in collaboration with a student team from BYU. Its purpose is to provide a one-stop site for the public to donate relevant, new items that are needed in real-time by participating providers of homeless services. Unfortunately, access to basic necessities such as chapstick, socks, diapers, and deodorant is a privilege. There is a real need for these items by people in our community!

In addition to HomeAid's core mission of helping provide safe, dignified housing through our unique relationship with the home-building industry, we also work to promote awareness and community engagement to help those who need a hand. For the last 4 years, HomeAid Utah has hosted the largest diaper drive in the state of Utah to support the Utah Diaper Bank. We had an ambitious goal of 500,000 diapers for 2022 and exceeded our goal by over 12,000 diapers!

The number of those experiencing homelessness is continuously increasing due to inflation and an increase in the cost of living. Can you imagine spending the winter or summer months unsheltered? We are doing everything we can to help this at-risk community get back on their feet and into a safe home. HomeAid Utah is dedicated to attacking the reality of homelessness with a unique and collaborative approach. We work with local groups to ensure these individuals have what they need.
